The beginnings and discovery of the electroplating industry
G.DZ. srl of Bulgarograsso in the province of Como has a long history in the field of galvanic treatments and painting. The founder, Mr Giuliano Dinale, was born in 1949 in Castello di Codego in the province of Treviso. In 1960, he moved to Bulgarograsso with his family and began working as a labourer for a tiler at the tender age of 12.
Nickel plating
After working at the Stai printing works, where he remained until the age of 18, and military service, he found work at the Menzio printing works, where he was given significant responsibilities. In 1974, he married Mrs Liliana Macoggi and, thanks to his brother-in-law Giuseppe Dal Col, he discovered the galvanic sector, which inspired him and gave him real ideas to increase his earnings.

The beginnings: from Dorani to G.DZ. Srl
The entrepreneurial adventure - undertaken together with his brother Renato, Luciano Zani and Giuseppe Dal Col - took concrete form with the first company, Dorani, in Appiano Gentile in a facility of just over 150 square metres, with satin-finishing, painting and bronzing operations gradually moving towards the furnishing sector. Thanks to an important order from Christofle, a well-known French silverware manufacturer, the company purchased a large gilding tank that allowed for the diversification of the pieces handled.
Dorani then moved to new premises on Via Clerici in Bulgarograsso and took on its current name of G.DZ. Srl. Equipped with an automatic plant for galvanic processes, the company focused its attention on the treatment of brass beds. The company, which in 1981 already had seven employees, works for third parties and Mr Giuliano's main task is to identify new customers and markets.
With the 1990s, changes in production
In 1983, Mr Dal Col left the company but we continued to grow - so much so that the workforce was doubled and the machinery continued to be updated. In 1992, Mr Zani also left the company and a difficult period began due to the loss of orders from Middle Eastern markets following the Gulf War.

Mr Dinale then decided to change the products he applied his techniques to, moving towards popular items such as furniture handles and coffee machine tops.
Today's success
Today, Giuliano Dinale has the satisfaction of being joined by his sons, Lorenzo, a computer expert, and Davide, a mechanical expert.
G.DZ. srl has renewed all its facilities and equipped itself with state-of-the-art technology and now employs 35 workers, which is tangible proof of Mr Dinale's commitment over many years in business and one of the incentives to continue improving the quality of its products and increasing the company's success.
